A1. No, we provide everyone with modern handmade coracles. This saves on your costs, but also ensure everyone has the same advantage.
A2. No, we provide a selection of lifejackets suitable for all builds.
A3. Yes, your team captain has signed a disclaimer to say all team member can swim 200 meters fully dressed.
A4. There is a high risk that you may capsize and go into the water. However, you will be wearing a lifejacket. We also have rescue boats and first aid team on hand just in-case someone gets into difficulty.
A5. Yes, please do. We can let you borrow a coracle but don’t leave it until the last couple of weeks! We ask for a donation of £30 to Macmillan for borrowing the coracles. Contact coracleworldchampionships@gmail.com. We also ask you to sign a disclaimer for your safety. We only provide the coracle and paddle for 2-7 days. You will need to organise your own lifejackets and location for practice. We ask that you don’t use the Pengwern boat house pontoon unless you have agreed it with them directly.
A6. You must all be registered by 1.45pm to ensure racing starts after the safety briefing.
A7. No, Sorry parking is limited. Information regarding parking has been sent to entrants, it is also available under parking on the website. However, blue badge holders may park down at the Pengwern Boat Club.
A8. Yes, we have Teas, coffees, soft drinks along with a full bar available from 12pm. There is also a BBQ catering for all including vegetarians. Cakes are also available for a mid-afternoon treat.

A10. No, we ask that all entrants are over 18 for insurance reasons.
